MOUNTING THE LIGHTSPHERE PHOTOJOURNALIST
ATTACHING TO FLASH
Place your hand INSIDE the unit and stretch the unit over the flash head. Push the unit down so it fits tightly. This may require that you push it past the ridge line - which is fine. This will not affect your results
You can leave your diffuser on the whole time you are shooting. For direct flash, simply point the unit forward. If you point it forward, make sure you have a long enough lens shade to shield your lens from flare.
If your camera has a wide-angle pull out diffuser, you can use this to reduce light to the ceiling and direct more light through the sides. You can experiment in different lighting situations to see what works best in each different situation.
Some of the flashes fit very tightly. The units will stretch over a great range of flashes.

Canon 580 users: the initial fit is tight - it is made to grip your flash very tightly! The first few applications may feel very tight, but it will loosen after a few applications

STORAGE
Use the LS2PJ to protect your lenses in the lens compartment. Cramming the diffuser flat will temporarily deform the shape.
If you deform the shape, heat the diffuser slightly with a blow dryer at low heat, and do not overheat the unit. If you have a Lightsphere Portraitist, you can put the soft diffuser over the hard one to help re-form the shape.
