HOW THE LIGHTSPHERE WORKS TO SOFTEN YOUR FLASH IMAGES

At far distances, every light source becomes harsh and specular. (Example: the sun). At close distances, the larger the light source,, the softer and more flattering the light will be. The Lightsphere is much larger than any other diffusion product, with the added benefit of sending the light in all directions around the barrel, and through the top hitting the ceiling and lighting up the entire room.
This image on the left is with the bride standing next to a wall, shot in Vertical orientation. Note how soft the lighting is.
Below is a comparison between four different types of light sources. The image on the top right was with the LS2PJ. Notice how three-dimensional the subject is. With other types of more direct flash, the model looks more "flat" or two-dimensional.

LIGHTSPHERE COMPARED TO OTHER LIGHT SOURCES
The image on the top right was done with the LS2PJ.
It is more 3 dimensional and soft throughout the hair.
Also, the top of the shoulders are much more evenly lit.
